I just got back home last night from attending Creation Con's Salute to Supernatural in San Francisco over the weekend. I had a blast, and am still in the process of uploading various stuff I recorded here and there. Unfortunately I don't have a whole lot. As far as audio files go, I've only gotten around to record the J2 Panel and Richard Speight, Jr's panel on Sunday. I won't bore you with the reason why that is so (I'll do that in a separate con report;) Anyway, here they are -- my first offerings:
1) Listen to Jensen and Jared on Stage: (or download directly from here @ archive.org)
Because of operational error, I didn't quite get the J2 Panel in its entirety, only 42 minutes of it, but I did catch small segments of video clips here and there towards the end which I will put up as soon as I get them uploaded.
Merely listening to this recording, one may not be able to tell how in sync these two actors are on stage. For example, toward the beginning, it sounded like someone was playing drums. In fact, it was the two of them banging the butt of their mikes on the armrest of their chairs. One of them randomly started doing it, and the other immediately followed. Soon enough they got a beat going and it sounded like they rehearsed the whole thing, but it looked really spur of moment to me.
2) Listen to Richard Speight, Jr on Stage - Sunday: (or download directly from here @ archive.org)
Richard was awesome. I finally got to hear him on stage after I just missed him a couple of times in the past. I was quite amazed he was still so energetic despite his was the last panel of the weekend, and he had already been on stage once on Saturday. He was nice and exuberant through and through. He kept my interest up the entire time.

If you know the real name/username of that mutual friend we ate lunch with (she kept saying "You're an American!") please tell her to friend me already :D Or is she even on LJ?
So fun to meet you in person! <3

I had NO idea how funny Richard Speight Jr was. But he was great. He actually sang "Happy Birthday" to my daughter. It was a 16th birthday she will never forget.
I'm glad you had a great time! :)

Richard sang Happy Birthday to your daughter? HOW WONDERFUL! <3
Yeah, I had a great time. My son was there too although he didn't get to attend the con. He was really bummed out he couldn't take picture with Jensen and Jared like we had hoped to do (the Con people insisted he has to have a day pass in order to go to the photo op) *sigh*
But to make up for it, we ran into Richard in the hotel lobby, and he was super nice. He was very agreeable to take a picture with my son! I'm planning to write more detail in another con report, but meanwhile I just put up a 16 minute Breakfast video at my journal if you are interested...

I'm sorry to hear about your son, although I kind of smiled a little at first. My 13 year-old son LOVES Supernatural, and at first he wanted to go, but when his sister said that there would be about 700 women and 10 men, he changed his mind. :)
I will be honest, while I LOVE Jared and Jensen, everything at the convention surrounding them was so uptight, it made me uncomfortable, and I just stayed away. While I followed my daughter up to get her autographs with Misha, Richard, Rob, etc, (and laughed at all their antics, they were all so much fun), I stayed back a little ways as the line progressed passed Jared and Jensen. The tension was just too high for me.
I'm glad your son got a chance to meet Richard and get his picture then. Robert Benedict was particularly nice to my daughter. She wants to do theater, and he took a few minutes to talk to her about it, so it was a really nice thing.
It sounds like you had as much fun as we did! :)

Hehe, your son is a fan of the show too? How nice! :)
I totally get what you said about how tightly controlled things are around Jensen and Jared. I had the same feeling too, especially in LA Con last year (which happened to be my first SPN convention). But I felt this SF Con was a bit loosened up, the boys themselves seemed more relaxed, and were having a good time. Despite Jensen being sick, he was in good spirits.
Oh that's so sweet of Robert. And good luck to your daughter! <3

I had totally heard about the manwhore thing - but listening to it myself was SO hilarious.
I laughed out loud SO many times - "You gotta understand, I'm 6'4", so this would be like a blanket for Gen." LMFAO.
I'm here listening to all this in a room by myself, with my headphones on, so I can only imagine how many people I'm scaring with my loud laughter LOL.
Anyway, this was SO much fun to listen to, THANK YOU, THANK YOU ♥ *squishes you tight*

Watching Jensen and Jared on stage is so much fun. They are so in tuned with each other that they just naturally fall into groove.
The "manwhore" comment was funny. My jaw literally dropped when she first said it. The thing is Jensen sat further away from where she stood so he completely missed what she said, but I think Jared had a vague idea though.
Anyway, I just put up a 16 minute breakfast video at my journal if you are interested in seeing it. I've been concentrating on processing the stuff I recorded over the weekend, I haven't been paying attention to what's been put out there already.

I know! I saw video of that microphone bit, just crazy. They're the best.
Haha, yeah, before this I had no idea that they had trouble hearing things from the audience.
I haven't been keeping up with videos too much, but I'll be sure to check yours out, hon.

The boys' ability to match pace with each other so naturally is amazing, isn't it?
I just uploaded another bits from the panel here (http://xwacky.livejournal.com/80052.html) if you are interested. Take your time hon. *hugs*

The Jensen's and Jared's panel sounded like so much fun and charm.

Jensen and Jared's panel indeed is much fun. Both of them are very charming and they are very in tuned to each other. That makes their time on stage very smooth.
Also I just put up a 16 minutes of breakfast with J2 video at my journal for downloading if you are interested. ;)

I just wanted to ask, did you catch Jensen asking that question in Portuguese*sp* I think it was? I never seen or heard it anywhere?
I did want to thank you again, and tell you I will it all, I mean all LOL Thank you

I have Jensen's comment to that Brazilian fan on audio @ approx. 33:30 mark. I had no idea what he said, but a Brazilian fan answered my question at my LJ here:

I can't even begin to describe what Jensen speaking Portuguese does to me (even though I don't have a clue at what he said).
