I changed my banner yet again to reflect my newly added obsession.

BSG and Jamie Bamber, I haven't forgotten about you. {{pets them on the head}}
I still *love* you like burn.

But I'm also consumed by Supernatural and the Winchester boys right now. Heh...

Actually, what I really wanted is a banner that have graphics from both shows.  But these two show's artistic styles are so different, I haven't found a way to make them mesh.  I have this idea of making a "soldier/leader" banner, where Dean Winchester is the "Soldier", and Lee Adama is the "Leader".  But...  {{pull hair}}

I'm still working on it though.  In the meantime...

Okay, I see Photoshop CS2 is really addictive!

After receiving great advices from [profile] o_yannik, I played with several pictures to see what I can do, and I ended up making 2 more BSG banners.  I'm still a long way to go from being good at this, but I had a lot of fun playing with the pictures and CS2.

The wonderful and ever resourceful [profile] falconer17 strikes again! I don't quite know how she manages to find new pictures of Jamie all the time. But she did so and posted a bunch of new ones at her journal Falcy's Scrolls yesterday. Those are the pictures taken by photographer Kharen Hill. Awhile ago, some of the photographer's pictures of Jamie were used in a feature article about the actor from Parade magazine.  But the pictures falcy found are mostly never before seen until now.

I'm only reposting here a couple of my favorite pictures from this batch.  The rest can be seen at falcy's scrolls.

I love Jamie's awesome smile in the picture on the left.  Ever since BSG season 3 finale aired, I've been particularly partial to Jamie in white oxford shirts!  And that velvet blazer looks super luxe on him!  Since I'm having fun with the PhotoShop CS2, I made another banner with these pictures.

Recently I just downloaded Photoshop CS2 trial version to test it out.  I've been trying different things with it.  So I figured I'll make a banner.  I LOVE the one the talented  [profile] stilettos81  made for me, but I just want to have a clue in what is involved in making one from scratch.  It turned out to be quite difficult--I don't really have any techniques and neat tricks at manipulating the images.  In particular, extracting an image from its background is really hard for me.  Style is another issue, but that can only come from talent and experience, and I don't have either one of them at the moment.  Anyway, my first attempt turns out to be pretty crude.  There were plenty of frustrations, but all in all, I did have fun making it!

One more thing I learned--Photoshop is at least ten times better than PaintShop Pro! Before I tried Photoshop, I downloaded PaintShop Pro (among other things, I used it in my first attempt at making icons).  But the program keeps crashing on me all the time!
