Ummm, it came to my attention that I may not have been getting any LJ notifications through my email for a little while. I thought people are just busy or possibly ignoring me since I have been really bad at keeping up with LJ. But I just noticed several "new" comments left at my LJ entry that I knew nothing about. This leads me to suspect there might be more such comments out there. So please accept my apology for not responding. It's going to take me awhile to track down the comments I may have missed, and it's very possible I'm not going to be able to catch all of them. So sorry!
P.S. Has anyone else been experiencing similar trouble lately? Does anyone know if the issue lies with LJ or with yahoo mail?
ETA: Mystery solved! Thanks to
layne67 who suggested me to take a look at my Spam folder, I found out the problem was with my yahoo email. At sometime after Thanksgiving, yahoo decided that a good chunk of my emails are "spams" and blocked them from my inbox. LiveJournal is one of the "casualties". To fix the problem, per suggestion from
koredump, I added lj_notification's email address to my contact list. Hopefully, this is the last time I encounter this problem!

It's been like this for me for awhile now. I don't know how long it's going to take LJ to fix this this time.
Alas, woe is me! :(

Oh sweetie, I'm so very sorry for my neglected replies. There are times I simply don't have time, but something like this just plain sucks. :(

Oh no, please don't worry about it, really! You are such a sweet person ♥ I know it must suck that you don't know which comments you might miss out on to reply, but you really are very considerate. You seem like such a cutie that I wish I could give you a hug <3333

I love you too! *squishes you*
So glad to hear I made your day a little better - that makes me smile.
By the way, I checked your comments below, about yahoo marking it as spam! I forgot it does that to me every now and then, but usually with only one or two notifications at a time. Sorry I didn't think of that sooner! I don't think it's just LJ though, it happens to me with different things. But yours was lots of messages right? I've never had it happen with that many from one site only. Weird.

I've never encountered something like this either. And it's not limited to LJ, some of my work related emails got misplaced as well. I had to bug my system admin to troubleshoot, and we never zeroed in on what was the problem. I just found out all those "missing" emails ended up in my Spam folder! *sigh*
Thank you so much for your support, luv! *HUGS*

I read your update - smart move! I think I'll have to add the LJ notifications to my contacts as well and see if that helps. Thanks!

I suspect my trouble started some time after Thanksgiving when many retailers here flooding people's email with advertisements - my inbox average 20 emails every day despite the anti-spam. Apparently the anti-spam bot is screening out the wrong emails!

Layne above just solved the mystery! For whatever reason, my yahoo email decides everything from livejournal is a spam! >:(
I just need to find a way to unspam it...

add an entry, e.g. named "LiveJournal", to your contact list with the email address of: lj_notify@livejournal.com . The spam filter will never block anyone in your contact list.
