Saw this magic genie dude mentioned at poor_choices' place. To play, he asks you to think about a real or fictional character, and he will try to guess who it is (via a series of questions).

I gave him a try, and to my amazement, he's frakking unbelievable!

Yap, he guessed correctly on first try! \o/


So I figure, what the heck, let's try again. This time he wasn't as sharp as before, but he did got it correct on 2nd attempt.


Since I'm on a roll here, I decided to try non-fictional character. Again, he got it right on the first round of questions!


Unfortunately, that's when my (or should I say his) luck ends. Try as I may, I couldn't get him to come up with Jamie Bamber. *harrumph*

ETA: Okay, this dude guessed Elizabeth Bennet with 14 questions:

13. Is your character the main character of the work in which he appeared? --> Yes


14. Does your character have a sister? --> Yes

I noticed it says Elizabeth Bennet has already been played 2402 times. So I guess while the questions are not exactly descriptive of her, her popularity among the players lead the "Genie" guessing her right away?

Hee. That's an interesting way of seeing this. This Genie "dude" really is pretty good. I finally got it to guess Jamie Bamber, so SCORE!

That was fun! He got it right 2 out of 3 - Matt Damon and Castiel, and he didn't get it for David Duchovny :))

And I finally got it to guess Jamie Bamber last night! Yeah, I'm a dork. My little boy is completely enamored with the game -- I now have it installed on my iPhone -- yap, it came as an app too. ;-)

This "dude" impressed me for guessing Piggy from "Lord of the Flies" on first try! He also got Natasha Rostov from "War and Peace" on second try (its first guess was Katherina Minola from "Taming of the Shrew" \o/).
