Promotion!

Not me, but I just got the news that hubby is now promoted to full professor (from associate professor)!  I'm quite stunned as he is two years early from the promotion consideration.  Apparently academia has this unwritten rule that it has to take twelve years of teaching and researching to be considered for full professorship.  But as it turned out, he was able to get his promotion in ten years.  Anyway, I'm quite proud of hubby at the moment.  Time to bring out the Champagne I guess!

I am FINALLY catching up on LJ, and I decided to go back to make sure I didn't miss anything - and wow, I did! Very belated congrats to Geoff!!! That's awesome!!

The funny thing is he said on that day when he heard the news he had reached his goal and he wouldn't have to work so hard any more... But, he's gotten busier since. I've been teasing him quite a bit on that!
