Sunday J2 Panel, SF Con
Sorry about the delay, got sidetracked yesterday. Anyway, as explained, because of camera mishandling on my part, I didn't capture any good quality pictures. What I have are a few VGA (640 x 480 resolution) snapshots for a quick glance. I also would like to recap what I considered as highlights of the panel here, as well as share several short video clips toward the end.
Teaser for the snapshots:

Again, if you are interested in seeing the rest, the zip file can be downloaded from here: j2 panel.zip @ mediafire
I posted the audio recording (42 min long) of the panel couple of days ago @ here. I'll say there are few highlights from this panel I just loved! In reference to the audio recording:
Enough of my babbling about the panel and the boys. Toward the end of the hour, I "stealthily" recorded 5 short clips using my iPhone. Without further ado, here they are:
Clip 1 - Jensen on stealing Dean's wardrobe + the boys talking about how long it takes them to film an episode:
Watch directly @ YouTube
Clip 2 - The boys showing their favorite dance moves:

Clip 3 - The last question + auctioning off Sam's S5 watch for Jared's charity:

Clip 4 - Auctioning off props from episode 6.15 a.k.a the meta episode where... (oops, no spoiler)

I posted the audio recording (42 min long) of the panel couple of days ago @ here. I'll say there are few highlights from this panel I just loved! In reference to the audio recording:
- 19:30 - The girl in front of the open mike asking question made an involuntary "snorting" noise. The unfortunate sound had the entire audience burst out laughing. I can only imagine how mortifying it must've been for this young lady. But Jared without loosing a beat said: "I just did the same thing the other day," followed by Jensen's "It's true..." Thus effectively smoothed over the situation, stirred the audience's attention away from the embarrassed girl. I thought that was a perfect example of what nice gallant young men these two are.
- 24:00 - I got a kick out of the boys talking about their "guilty pleasure" in television viewing. It was so adorable how embarrassed Jensen was at admitting he can't stop watching "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hill". Oh Jensen! By the way, this reminded me of Anderson Cooper once openly admitted he was a fan of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey." (*facepalm*) So Jensen, you are not alone there.
- 25:45 - In the same vein as above, Cliff interjected from the sideline that neither boys could get through an episode of "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition". Now how cute is that? The boys watching the same show together? Or did they happen to watch the same program on separate occasions?
- 28:30 - Jared and Jensen gave a funny recount on how Jared effortlessly caught a flying candy from Jensen across the trailer. They both demonstrated, with "sound effect", how that was done. I was struck by how different in style these two moves. It seems to me that Jared was all arms and legs, goofy and exuberant; while Jensen was deliberate, crisp, and graceful. I also got a good giggle out of Jensen's self admitted response at Jared's über cool catch: "You're stupid!"
- 33:30 - Jensen said something to the Brazilian fan once he understood where she's from. This prompted Jared look at him and deadpanned: "You're studpid!" Haha, nice callback, Jared!
But what did Jensen say there? Anyone? Sorry for being ignorant, but English is the only foreign language I can manage, and apparently I'm not managing it that well either. Thanks to nettyolyveyra commented down below, I learned Jensen spoke Portuguese to the Brazilian fan asking: "Do you speak Portuguese?" :DDD - 36:55 - In answering fan's question on who/what is his inspiration, Jensen's foremost response was: "I lost my shoe." To me, this little reference to the awesome line delivery by Jared as Sam in "Bad Day at Black Rock" says so much about Jensen's genuine admiration of his co-star's work. In their profession where jealousy is abundant, it's so rare and precious to see two leading actors honestly appreciating what the other one does.

hehe,
Don't objectify my friend!~ Jared. Also the glare made it impossible to see that toward the end, when Jensen took one prop from Jared, he selected the one that says "J. Padalecki", leaving Jared with the one that says "J. Ackles".

When there's nothing else on or I'm just bored, there's nothing better for a bit of snark. :o)

Haha, I can just picture your hubby roll his eyes! I still have a delightful memory of him rolling his eyes and saying to us: "It's just a 3 days old cake!"
*sigh* It would be so awesome and such a coup if the boys would attend Dragon*Con. Unfortunately I don't quite see it happening.
I'm doing okay, just busy. Hope you are doing well, and have a great weekend, hon!
*HUGS*

(Anonymous) 2011-01-23 04:23 pm (UTC)(link)I haven't had the chance to listen to all your other goodies...I'm hoping I get some time this week.
Doing well here--just busy getting the kids to all their activities!

Which reminds me now you can tease him being a deadringer for the Campbell patriarch. \o/
Ah yes, the many activities of a young kid today! That's mostly what got me so busy these days.
P.S. Please send my regard to your hubby for me. Tell him he's really awesome! :)

(Anonymous) 2011-01-23 09:21 pm (UTC)(link)I mentioned the Agent Skinner thing (I didn't know about it). He laughed remembering it. He said that he didn't know who Agent Skinner was! I told him now he was Sam and Dean's grandfather (he wants to know if he can drive the car!). I had to show him a picture of Mitch Pileggi...he replied, "Damn, he could be me!"
He wants to know if you saw his snow sledding videos I posted on my FB page?

OMG! I'm surprised you didn't know the Agent Skinner thing. That was hilarious, actually. It would be wonderful if we get to go out together again. Hey, you can always come westward for a SPN Con too!
Lol, sorry...Gramps, Dean might be particular about allowing only Winchesters to drive that black beauty of his. ;)
No, I haven't seen your hubby's snow sledding video! Where is it? I seem to miss a lot of things on FB.

Sorry about the overly excited caps, but you just made my night. That is awesome! I can't imagine how and where Jensen learned to speak Portuguese, but that's just fabulous.
Even though I had not a clue at what he said, him speaking it did funny things to my inside. :D

As for the 'Silk Screen', that's a good idea for a story title! :D

Good luck with the downloading. Lemme know if you run into problem, either with DL or extraction. I'll help you troubleshoot.

The boys watching the same show together? Or did they happen to watch the same program on separate occasions?
Together of course!
What's the show Real Housewives all about? The last episode of House had him watching it!
Thanks so much for the awesome report and the vids!

Regardless, listening to his sexy voice speaking a foreign tongue just about melted me into a goo on the spot!
All I know about these "Real Housewives" shows is they are reality tv. You know me, they couldn't pay me to watch those shows, so I couldn't tell you what they are about. Although some of my friends are addicted to those -- just today, one was telling me she's addicted to Real Housewives of Atlanta. Can you imagine? Do they have a "Real Housewives" show in every friggin city?
Hehe, you are very welcome my dear. Glad you enjoyed them. <333

Hey guess what? The funny thing is yesterday morning I got a call from Nielsen Rating, they want me to participate in their survey for a week of TV watching in early February. Guess they'll pay me ($1?) to record what I watch. =p

It's perfectly okay for not turning on a TV set. We just have to mark "no tv" in the journal, and if we do watch, we need to write down the time and the program. That's about it.
