Great review m'dear! I've missed reading your insights and you pretty much summed up everything I felt about this episode.
Since he's scoffing at the whole religious aspect, I can see why Dean has been so unwilling to say yes to Michael, the archangel who supposedly is the ultimate agent of God in banishing the Evil.
Yep, I think although Dean kinda has to believe that there's a heaven now, he still doesn't have faith and he finds it hard to believe there's a God and if there is one then he's dead. Like you said Dean just sees the Angels as another kind of enemy that he has to battle against.
Oh and thank you for clearing up the pudding scene. I had a feeling it was a reference from one flew over the cuckoos nest, but it's been a while since I last saw that film.
