It just shows sometimes a well made show can stand on its own. In today's culture, so much emphasis is placed on how things are packaged and promoted, and we loose the substance instead. I'm glad SPN proved to be the opposite.
I agree with what Mick said here that SPN doesn't really fit in with the other shows on CW. It is decidedly darker, deeper, and more mature. I don't think the network really knows what to do with it.
