...it's miserable, and so not the romantic place it cracked up to be.
No, not romantic at all! Especially since I walked so slowly all the time struggling with the wind and my umberella, Geoff walked way ahead of me ALL the time!
Hopefully the weather will turn better for you, because a bright & sunny day in Paris? Le sigh!
Thanks for the well wish. The bright & sunny day in Paris didn't quite happen this time. ::sigh:: Guess I'd have to wish for another trip then...
You were in your 3-in heels, weren't you? ::laughs hysterically::
Ahhhhh, you know me so well! ;) It's hard pressed to find a pair of flats in my closet these days!
I found this very ironic. You know how it is, the artist was trying to express his feeling of exclusion, when to an un-jaded observer, he just didn't find his way!
Isn't it SO?! I chuckled so much when Andy made that comment! It's moment like this I appreciate the company of innocent children so much--they tend to have such clear vision of things and they have a knack of getting to the heart of the matters sometimes!
Do you have a map of the Paris Metro system?
We do have a map, we were just not used to reading subway maps! In the beginning, Geoff had very "creative" ways to get from point A to B. ;) We ended up changing quite a few different lines. As to getting around from my hotel--it's not too hard, but it does require changing different subways. The hotel is near the blue line (line #2), so it takes at least one connection (mostly 2) to get to where we needed to go.
