So, the rose symbolism was romantic? I wondered about it since I saw your comment at Layne's journal. I realized it was important but I had no idea how to interpret it.
I loved both Dean's in this episode, gods this man can act. :)
As for pristine Caprica, from what I understand nuclear weapon destroys buildings only in the nearest range but it kills all life in a much larger radius. I remember a movie I watched as a child where the nuclear blast evaporated people, so only their shadows on the buildings remained. It was scary as hell.
One thing I have to note. I LOVED Zachariah's reaction to Dean's "naah". It was for some reason so incredibly hilarious. Perfect timing by the both of them. :)
