My thoughts exactly. Can you imagine the heartache that is Dean left all alone while Sam went off on his "business trips" with Ruby? And also, all his life Dean has been the one left behind - his mother died, Sam went off to Stanford, John went missing, Cassie rejected him, Ben wasn't his son - so I'm glad, so glad, that he has Castiel.
Dean really did seem like a bullet shield here. I don't see why Castiel needed his help at all.
Because Dean really was Castiel's bullet shield? Remember what Castiel said that no angel would dare to harm Michael's vessel.
And I think Dean has been extra pretty this season!
