xwacky: Dean from Supernatural (score!)

Looks like James Callis is joining his BFF Jamie Bamber in Ron Moore's "17th Precinct" on NBC (see the blurb here @ [livejournal.com profile] bamber_news).

A lovely BRITMANCE... )

UPDATE: Besides Jamie and James, Tricia Helfer is the third Battlestar Galactica alum joining RDM's latest project! http://www.imdb.com/news/ni8262142/
This calls for fist pumping in the air. Thanks to the ever so awesome [livejournal.com profile] asta77 who broke the news (okay, it was Ausiello, but I would've never known it if it wasn't for asta), Jamie Bamber is set to reunite with Ron Moore on RDM's new pilot "17th Precinct" on NBC! (see Ausiello's report here, and asta's report here and here)

Oh boy, I would have to eat my words that I would not invest in RDM's project again at the conclusion of BSG. But not only is Jamie reteaming with his old boss, so is Michael Rymer set to direct the pilot episode (the prospect of a Bamber-Rymer reunion is making me even more excited over Jamie's reunion with RDM). Also, before Jamie, Stockard Channing is signed on with the project as well!

1. Post a list of up to 20 books/movies/anime/TV shows/video games/bands [fannish etc.] that you've had an obsessive fannish love or interest in at some time in your life.
2. Have your f-list guess your favourite character/member from each item.

Gakked from [livejournal.com profile] xbeyondinsanex here's yet another meme.  This one is delayed by a couple of days because I simply don't have time.

Name your 10 absolutely favorite couples (het/slash/canon/fanon) and ask people to see what trends they notice about your couples. Try to pick different fandoms.

Comment to this entry and I'll pick three of your fandoms. You must then update your journal and answer the following questions:

01) What got you into this fandom in the first place?
02) Do you think you'll stay in this fandom or eventually move on?
03) Favorite episodes/books/movies/etc.?
04) Do you participate in this fandom (fanfiction, graphics, discussions)?
05) Do you think that more people should get into this fandom?

[profile] dreams_of_honey tagged me with The Guardian, Battlestar Galactica, and Supernatural (not that I have many to choose from).

Here's my answer... )

Flyby post:  I just saw that CW announced new Thursday line-up:  The Vampire Diaries (new series) shows at 8pm, followed by Supernatural at 9pm.

I looked up the premises of Vampire, and it looks to me like it's trying to get on the bandwagon of the popular "Twilight" verse.  To be honest, my interest in it is very low.  But I think it's telling that the network put it before Supernatural.  I'm sure TPTB is hoping to "cash in" on the success of our show.

I wonder how much, if any, loosing Smallville as the lead-in will affect Supernatural.  The numbers from season 4 indicate there's hardly significant lose-of-viewership from 8pm to 9pm.  So our show holds pretty well on its own.  On the other hand, I'm more worried at the news Fringe is moving to 9pm on Thursday.  Oh joy, yet another tough competition for my favorite show.

Question is, what's happening with Smallville?
